ABOUT OUR COMPANY
Manitowoc Relay & Protectors, Inc. was established in Two Rivers, Wisconsin with the assistance of Electrica, srl of Milan< Italy in early January of 2005. The company was formed to serve the North American market for relays used in conjunction with compressor motors and pumps for air conditioning and refrigeration systems and other hard start applications. Electrica has served the worldwide market for these and related products since 1956.
OUR PRODUCTS
RVA ELECTRICAL RELAY
RVA, 35 amp and RVAH, 50 amp potential relays are designed for use with single-phase motors that use start and run capacitors (CSR and CSIR motor configurations), and other “high starting torque” motor applications. In these normally closed relays the coil is energized by the electrical potential of the start winding. When the voltage in the winding is raised to the pick-up value the relay contact will open and disconnect the start capacitor. The relay will remain energized until the voltage decreases to less than the drop-out voltage value. Typical applications include air conditioning and refrigeration compressor, heat pump, submersible pump and other hard start and high SEER product applications.
